What do you Shoot With?

The majority of my Vancouver photography photos in the collection are digital, yet a large number of the black & white shots are film scans. I shoot digitally with a, just purchased Canon 5D Mark III, as well as a Canon EOS 40D. I’m also toting around these Canon lenses: 17-85mm, 50mm, 70-210mm 2.8 Mark II, and a just purchased 40mm 2.8 which is surprisingly good and well made. I tend not to shoot with lighting, but I do have a Canon 580ex.

Can I/We Hire you? Can I Buy a Photograph?

I’ve met a lot of photographers over the years who fret about stolen photos on the internet. People put big ugly watermarks on their photos. They disable all sized viewing. They disable right click downloading. But the fact of the matter is that if I catch someone using My photos illegally for commercial purposes, it very well could be the equivalent of winning the unauthorized photo lottery for me. So please, please don’t do it!

Personally I don’t worry about stolen photos. I put all of my photos up without any sort of watermarks whatsoever. Will I have people that use my images? Sure. I don’t care. If people use them for personal use. But if people use them commercially  I will sue for much more than the real underlying value of the use of the photo might be, if I so desire.
